Father’s Day gift ideas

It's a Father’s Day on Sunday 19th June, and to help you treat Dad on his special day, we've rounded up some of the best gift ideas to suit all budgets.

Techie Dad
Earn some serious bonus points with a Sonos PLAY:1
It's the newest, most compact Sonos wireless speaker which connects to your home WiFi. Controlled through an app on a phone, tablet or PC, your home will be filled with music and hopefully some dad-dancing fun times.

Gadget Dad
If dad just can't get going in the morning without a dose of caffeine, you could think about investing in a coffee machine. There are  many different types available to fit any budget and some have the added option of frothing his milk for an early morning cappuccino.

Culinary Dad
To compliment dad's freshly brewed coffee, why not consider buying him a bread maker for the tastiest toast in the morning and fill your home with the smell of baked bread.  A basic bread-maker can cost from £60 but if you're looking for something a bit special, look for a higher-end machine that allows you to drop in nuts, seeds or dried fruit for bread with a twist.

Retro Dad
Why not treat dad to a Smartphone Projector which will allow the whole family to gather round and watch videos and photo strips taken on his phone in the new-old fashioned way.  Just project against any surface, crack out the popcorn and enjoy the show!

Outdoors Dad
If dad likes nothing more than to spend time in his garden sanctuary, an outdoor clock and barometer will help him keep an eye on time and the weather.

Or why not attract bees to the garden by buying him a Bee Hotel? Not only will you be helping these little guys out but they look beautiful too and will be an environmentally friendly addition to dad's garden.

It's the thought that counts
Fathers Day gifts needn't be expensive and a homemade canvas will brighten any wall and warm dad's heart each time he sees it. Pick up a canvas frame from a craft store, paint those little hands and feet and get creative.

And finally, for those of you who sadly can't spend this special day with your dad, why not consider planting a beautiful plant in his memory which will bring you comfort and joy with every bloom.
