We just love these fab Victorian cottages located in the sought after Trenholme Road. They're perfectly placed for the amenities and attractions of Crystal Palace and it's beautiful park. Transport is a cinch with the nearby London Overground line and yet you get to enjoy a peaceful, residential setting with friendly neighbours. This three bedder will surprise you throughout, there are two reception rooms, an eat-in kitchen, pretty garden and three double bedrooms.
The charming front garden is fringed with a cute fence and high hedge. You're lead through a pretty red door to a compact inner porch and on into the living space. It's a wide, versatile room with a front aspect. The floors are stripped back, the walls are neutral and there is a period fireplace to the front section. A neat archway leads into the rear reception, which has an ingenious wine store built into the chimney breast and some high level book shelves in the alcove. A meander to the rear from the living space leads directly to the kitchen (you can access it from the hall too). Brilliantly extended to include a fantastic dining area, the space is also well lit by two overhead skylights, two windows and glazed double doors leading onto the garden. The kitchen units are plentiful and well equipped to tackle busy Saturday mornings with the kids! The garden is a delightful spot, stretching over 70 feet with paved, lawn and decked areas.
Head back through the kitchen and into the hall, passing a nifty loo and under stairs storage. Upstairs you’re joined by a stripped brick wall dishing out a very rustic vibe and a family bathroom on the rear landing. It’s immaculate, fully tiled with a white suite and two windows. Turn on yourself and up a few short stairs you'll find two double bedrooms, each with cosy carpets, sash windows in the master and peaceful views. A final climb up to the top floor will surprise you with a third double bedroom, romantically placed in the eaves with storage space, Velux window and spotlights.
The street is so friendly it even has its own Facebook page! The current owners count most inhabitants as friends (you'll be given a warm welcome) and throw a street BBQ in the summer and Xmas drinks in the winter. Shops abound on nearby Church Hill, Westow Hill and Crystal Palace Parade - all under 10 minutes away on foot. There are nice cafés and restaurants close by too - the local gastro pub and craft beer pub are only 5 minutes walk. In the summer take a picnic across the road to Crystal Palace Park. Crystal Palace station serves Victoria & London Bridge and offers the hugely popular London Overground line which will whisk you to the Jubilee Line (Canada Water) and up east; you'll be sashaying down Shoreditch High Street in no time at all! You can grab this at Penge West also (that's walkable in around 4 minutes).
