Brunswick Park , SE5
There's something of the neighbourhood garden about this pretty park on the north side of Camberwell Church Street.

Lying between St Giles and Benhill Roads, it was laid out in the mid Victorian era and is overlooked by some of the loveliest houses from the period in Camberwell. Popular with locals and staff from Southwark Town Hall, the facilities include free tennis courts and a children's play area.

The planting is rather nice, if a little old fashioned, and there are distinct areas to the park to cater for a variety of uses. When the sun is shining its a particulalry nice place to picnic.

The Friends of Brunswick Park meet regularly to keep the park in tip top condition and their work won the park a Green Flag Award in 2011. Brunswick Park is home to an albino squirrel, nicknamed Boris by local residents.
